>The 18th of April 2009, the Softday Bacterial Ensemble performed the live music and multimedia Nobody Leaves ’till the Daphnia Sing. The performance with both humans and Daphnia Magna was a once off, but the INFECTIOUS exhibition and our installation with the Daphnia runs until the 17th of July 2009.

  1. >Thanks for posting.I had expected the Daphnia to sound much more erratic, but I suppose that’s all in the mapping? Or that we are all creatures of habit? My sister found it “so surprising”, -we loved it!

  2. >Thanks! yes, a lot has to do with mapping and also how to process the Daphnia movement. It’s when their movement is above a certain threshold that it triggers a “note”.

  3. >aha. That’s one for my notebook.

  4. >By the 15th of May, we’ve had over 16,000 visitors!

  5. >Thats just wonderful 😀 😀 😀 little did I know what I feed my fish and turtles can make music… the fish and turts can go without!! :p

  6. >That's both intellectually satisfying and also good to listen to!
